what does this mean in user profiles?. my huess would be that it is there as the user has not filled the sections out, but sometimes i have clicked on the view interests link and it shows other users anyway. :). is this the way it is meant to be, is there a bug?

IT is indeed a bug, one that if I recall correctly the admins are aware of. I'll check though.

I get the feeling that the bug is, that anyone that has not filled out a particular section on the interest part of the profile, it will show up as "Viewinterest" in the user's profile.
Therefor, if you click on the "Viewinterest" link, it will show all of the users that do not have any interests asosheated with there profile.
Perhaps the bug could be that if you click on the "Viewinterest" after the movies catigoary for instance, it will show users who do not have any movie interests for there profile.
Its one of the two, and i'm not sure which it is.
Make sense?

Makes sense to me, John. I just recently updated my profile and filled out most of those new categories except movies. I simply don't care about movies much and haven't seen any for a long time. And for music I just listed the two types of music I like the most rather than name a bunch of individual artists. But it is kind of interesting clicking on those links in other people's profiles or even in my own to see who else has the same interests. But if people don't fill out any of them or leave one area blank as I did, I wish they could just not show up in the profiles.

Becky states in Part:
"But if people
don't fill out any of them or leave one area blank as I did, I wish they could just not show up in the profiles."

Thanks, Becky.
I'm in total Agreement.
John
